Managed WordPress Website Hosting
Our care plans include premium WordPress hosting. Each website is hosted in its own space to ensure your site is fast and secure. That means none of your server resources are shared with any other sites with no risk of someone else's site slowing yours down or even worse, taking it down. Includes SSL Certificates, daily back ups, 99.9% uptime, WooCommerce optimised and firewall. We include a staging server for each of our websites for safe testing and development. This is essential to test WordPress Core and WooCommerce software updates or any new development work.
The Protect Care Plan has 1GB of dedicated memory, 1vCPU, 25GB storage and 1TB bandwidth. Nurture Plan includes 2GB memory, 2 vCPU, 25GB and 2.5TB bandwidth. There are 7 more levels of hosting available as add ons which means as your business scales so can your web hosting.
Website Maintenance & Support
Our care plans include support time for any content updates you request or any issues or problems you have with the website. We aim to fulfil any support requests within one to two business days. All website requests go through to Michelle at help@bloomcreativedesign.uk who manages our own internal support desk.
WordPress Website Security
Our website security activities include daily security scanning, malware detection, blocklist monitor, firewall (WAF), premium security software to detect intrusions and features to keep your website as protected as possible.
WordPress Website Software
Our care plans all include premium software licenses including themes, pagebuilder, security software, speed optimization, image optimisation, back ups, spam fighting and SEO plugins. For some eCommerce websites you may have specific licences which we bill for individually.
Website Performance Optimisation
Speed optimisation, Core Web Vitals and performance have become increasingly important and are a Google ranking factor. All our websites include speed optimisation software and our Nuture Plan includes monthly speed optimisation work including optimising images and layout if needed to retain a good score with Google Page Insights.
Search Engine Monitoring
We have improved our offering for search engine monitoring. Mainly as a preventative exercise. For example, if you have been ranking page one for a key phrase, we need to monitor that for any big changes which in turn can lead to losing traffic and therefore leads and sales.
We have invested in one of the best SEO tools which provides accurate Google rankings and shows who your competitors are. Unfortunately, if you Google yourself, this will be personalised and will not be accurate in terms of your visibility online. If we do see any concerning changes then we will recommend some search engine optimisation work to improve your rankings. We offer monthly SEO packages via our Growth Plans.
Website Maintenance Plan Frequently Asked Questions
I don’t need many updates to my website ; why do I need a maintenance plan ?
What if my website gets hacked ?
Our hosting, security software and processes are designed to ensure this doesn’t happen. However, it is still possible but rare. For example, if a software vulnerability isn’t patched quickly enough by a third party software developer then your site is vulnerable. This has only happened once to us in the last ten years and was resolved in less than an hour.
Both our maintenance plans include malware removal and a website back up restore. If your website needs further assistance and a Sucuri clean and fix this would be chargeable. This has not yet happened with our websites but we have seen serious hacks with websites where they have not been maintained or are using out of date software.
What type of support requests are included in my monthly support time ?
For any new development work such as a new plugin or new feature, this would be scoped out as a mini project and priced accordingly. Please note support time does not roll over and it is up to you to make requests.
How do I request Support and how long will website changes take ?
All support requests are handled in house and we don’t out source.
Our turnaround is normally one to two business days. For our Nurture Plan clients we aim to complete requests within 24 hours. Obviously it depends on when the request comes in and what it involves.
Do I need to host my website with Bloom Creative Design ?
No but we really encourage you to host with us as our hosting is with a premium provider and hosting support is instant so we get a fix very quickly. We do not recommend shared hosting and our hosting provides you with your own space for just your own website. No bad neighbours !
If you still choose your own hosts we will recommend suitable hosting. Any cheap shared hosting providers are not recommended.
Why is my website loading slowly?
For external embedded media, think twice before embedding someone else’s media into your site. Once you embed external material into your site, your pages will only run as fast as the host site. In other words, if that external site is having a particularly slow day, your site may run slowly too. Don’t let another site drag yours down! Whenever possible, it’s smart to host all content on your own server.
Plugins may also be causing an issues, as just like external embedded media, plugins can bring in resources from other websites. We can perform some investigative work to see what plugins could be causing this.
For regular speed and image optimisation you will need to be on our Nurture Care Plan to keep speed monitored and fix any issues.
What is included in the Consultation time ?
